This year, going forward will be a busy year for lettings, with the transactional period of the Tenant Fee Ban expiring and shortly prior to this will be the deadline to make sure an EPC rating of E or above is in place for all existing tenancies.


At the moment it may seem to many that things are a bit in limbo especially with RoPA on the horizon and the abolishment of Section 21. Hopefully in the coming months there will be some clarification on both matters, so that agents can start planning for future.


Because of everything that is going on in the sector at the moment it will be a tricky time for the lettings industry, but as ARLA Propertymark agents we are all kept well informed of any upcoming imminent changes.


My message to people would be to get organised and be ready, don’t sit back and wait for it to happen.
